Project Details

ThaiHealth Academy, Thai Health Promotion Foundation (THA) and the World Bank  jointly organize “Enhancing Psychosocial Services for Traumatized Persons in Conflict-Affected Areas in Thailand’s Deep South”. This project is designed to strengthen the capacity of providers to deliver psychosocial services in the three conflict-affected provinces of the Deep South of Thailand and designed to extend coverage of psychosocial services to key traumatized groups. The project is scheduled to be held for 2.5 years, from the year 2024 to 2027.

The project trains 120 frontline practitioners—including

  • School psychosocial counselors
  • NGOs working with traumatized women &children
  • Community health volunteers
  • NGOs working and supporting with valuable group
    to support over 2,400 traumatized individuals. Activities include curriculum development, hands-on training, field practice, and expansion of the mental health practitioner network and referral system.
